Malibu Attractions

The new J. Paul Getty Museum is located at 1200 Getty Center Drive, Los Angeles 90049-1681. Reservations are necessary and may be obtained by calling 9310) 440-7300.

Weisman Museum Of Art at Pepperdine University - 24255 Pacific Coast Highway. Hours are Tuesday - Sunday 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Admission is free. Call (310) 506-4851 for more information.

These are two fine art galleries located in the Cross Creek area:
Mclean Gallery - 23410 Civic Center Way (310) 456-2226 and Skidmore Contemporary Art -24554 Via De Casa (310) 456-5070.

The historic
Adamson House and the Malibu Lagoon Museum is located at 23200 Pacific Coast Highway. Hours are 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Wednesday - Saturday. Docent led tours are available; the last tour is at 2:00 PM. Tuesday is reserved for groups and reservations may be obtained by calling (310) 456-8432. There is a parking lot adjacent to the museum, as parking is prohibited on the museum grounds. The Gift Shop hours are 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and you can reach them at (310) 456-9378.

Ramirez Canyon Park, otherwise known as the Barbara Streisand donated estate, is located on 5750 Ramirez Canyon Road. Tours are available on Wednesdays, and advance reservations are required. Call (310) 589-2850 ext. 301.

The
Surfrider Beach, Zuma Beach and Leo Carillo Beach are the most popular beaches in the area. Public access to other beaches along the highway is marked for your convenience. The Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy (1-800-533-PARK) will provide a map and information regarding parks and hiking trails in the Malibu area. Goods and services may be obtained from quaint shopping areas located along the Pacific Coast Highway. A wide variety of overnight accommodations and eating establishments are available throughout Malibu.

Pepperdine University and the HRL Laboratories are located in the Santa Monica Mountains overlooking the Pacific Ocean. There is no major industry in the area so employment opportunities are within the small businesses.
